perspectives change

My life is not the only storyline in this world. Everyone starts from a different place. Everyone has different circumstances. Everyone has different hurts and pains and joys. In 1 Corinthians it says that love does not demand its own way and yet so often we are frustrated because people don’t see a situation the way we see it. “But it’s so obvious!” we cry from our side of the issue. Today I want to try to look at the world from someone else’s perspective. From God’s. Love is an action I take, not an action I demand anyone else takes, and one way to love others in this world is taking the time to listen to their perspective. To see them and their situation with God’s eyes. To love them as he does and spend time seeking to understand rather than be understood. Turn the camera upside down, take a breath and look around, what do you see? What does God see?
